ONLINE & IN-PERSON VIOLIN INSTRUCTION
Violin for every level
Beginner
We’ll start at the very beginning of learning to play the violin. Our focus will be on developing good stance, proper placement of violin and bow grip while learning easy songs.
Intermediate
Reinforcement of skills learned as a beginner but adding to it the early stages of technique. Suzuki and other pieces will be learned with basic music theory and concepts.
Advanced
More advanced technique and pieces will be introduced and developed. Focus on physical movement, phrasing and overall musical ability. University scholarship preparation.

I grew up playing the violin, not always enjoying the practicing that came along with it, but eventually really connecting with the instrument. Later, it helped define who I was and who I would become. As your teacher, I will do everything in my power to help you excel in the art of playing the violin, provided that the student practices regularly and demonstrates concentrated effort in and outside of the lesson.

Violin lessons to suit the individual
Solo
Solo music and method will be primarily taken from the Suzuki repertoire. Other types of music will be presented as student demonstrates ability and ambition.
Ensemble
On occasion, students will have the opportunity to learn and perform in duets and small group pieces. Outside chamber work is encouraged and coached as requested.
elements of music
An important part of developing as a violinist is reading musical notation, including terms and associated elements of music. You’ll also learn about music history, composers and other topics pertaining specifically to violin.
